The Buriticá mine, located in Buriticá, Colombia, is the country’s first large‑scale underground gold operation. It was acquired by Zijin Mining Group in 2020. The mine is in production, currently expanding, and features high grade epithermal deposits. Extraction and processing rely on underground mining along with gravity separation, flotation, and cyanide leaching.
