The following notes and accompanying analysis cover production of copper in concentrate and SxEw copper cathode at Collahuasi. Collahuasi is an open pit mine asset with huge amount of reserves and resources that operates (in 2021) a 145kt/d ore copper, moly mine-mill. In practice some years the milling rate is above this nominal capacity due to changes in the hardness of the rock. In 2020 Collahuasi milled 55.8Mt of ore producing 629kt copper in concentrate. For 2021 the concentrator was expected to mill 52.9Mt and produce 601kt copper. In 2021 the expansion to get 170kt/d ore and 210kt/d ore continue. Full capacity of these expansions was expected for 2024 and 2025 respectively. Operations are carried out at 4000 m.a.s.l.
