Asset Report
Cortez & Pipeline (pre-2017) gold mine
Report summary
The property comprises the Cortez Hills underground mine, open pit deposits (Cortez, Cortez Hills, Gap and Pipeline) and processing facilities covering 2,800 square km. A portion of the ore is refractory and is hauled by truck to Barrick's Goldstrike roaster for processing. A complicated set of royalty agreements prevail over different parts of the property. The accompanying analysis covers production from the Cortez mines until 2016. From 2017 onward (post-consolidation), combined production from the mines is covered elsewhere within the service under a consolidated mine profile titled "Barrick Nevada".
