Cortez (& Goldrush) gold mine
Report summary
The property comprises the Cortez Hills underground mine, the prospective Goldrush underground project, and the open pit deposits (Cortez, Cortez Hills, Pipeline and Crossroads). The processing facilities onsite cover 2,800 square km. A complicated set of royalty agreements prevail over different parts of the property. A portion of the ore is refractory and is hauled 125km by truck to Nevada Gold Mines' Carlin or Goldstrike roaster for processing. Mine life is currently estimated to stretch to at least the year 2042.
