The Gaisky GOK mine and mill complex is located 280km east of Orenburg near the northeastern border of Kazakhstan. Gaisky is the largest source of ore for the UGMK subsidiary Ural Mining Metallurgical Company (UMMC). UGMK is a vertically integrated metals producer which contributes roughly 40% of Russia's total copper cathode production.
