Report summary
EV sales continued to recover in March, with plug-in EV sales surpassing one million units for the first time this year. Despite this, negativity is rife in the battery raw materials supply chain as a price war continues to rage. Combined with significant stock in the system, the trend for the graphite market in recent months has been downwards. Both natural and synthetic graphite producers are now considering their next move: whether to stick with planned production schedules or to attempt to support the market by cutting output.
