Report summary
Chinese production rates and the latest results from the European mills emphasise the current strength in the stainless market. Large upward revision in Chinese nickel sulphate production highlights the strength of demand from the battery segment. But there are downside risks: concerns of a second half slow down in China; and cut backs by car makers, due to the chip shortage, weakening metals demand in Q4.
