Report summary

The Golden Grove mine consists of the Scuddles and Gossan Hill underground mines and the Copper Oxide Open Pit, above Gossan Hill. The Copper Oxide Open Pit commenced ore production in H2 2012. This was completed in March 2016.  We expect production from the underground mine to continue until 2023. On 30 December 2016 MMG confirmed that it had entered into a conditional sale agreement with EMR Capital for the purchase of Golden Grove for US$210 million. The sale agreement was completed on 28 February 2017 with EMR Capital taking on the economic benefits and risks of ownership of Golden Grove effective from 1 January.
