Operated by Sigma Mineração S.A, Grota do Cirilo is a lithium mineral project located in Minas Gerais, Brazil. In 2014, Sigma acquired the lithium rights across a large and previously productive area of the Eastern Brazilian Pegmatite Province. Several historic mines and pegmatites exist across the tenements. Construction of a staged open pit mining and processing operation commenced in late 2021. Output is expected to reach 440ktpy of 6% spodumene concentrate in 2025. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating several granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry-standard cash operating costs. This report contains a detailed asset note giving you a holistic view of the asset, including an operational overview through to a timeline of events from inception to now.
