The property comprises the Hasbrouck and Three Hills deposits. Both deposits will be mined using conventional truck and shovel open pit mining methods. Ore from the mines will be treated via heap leaching. A staged project development approach is being considered where the Three Hills deposit will be developed as Phase 1, followed by development of the Hasbrouck deposit as Phase 2. Three Hills ore will be placed onto pads as run-of-mine ore at a rate of 15ktons/d while ore from Hasbrouck will be crushed prior to placement on leach pads at a rate of 17.5ktons/d. An eight year mine life is planned, with average annual gold production estimated at 69koz/a in years 1 & 2 (Three Hills deposit) and 71koz/a between years 3 and 8 (Hasbrouck deposit). In addition, average annual silver production of 194koz/a is expected between years 3 and 8 from the Hasbrouck deposit.
The property comprises two main deposits (Hasbrouck and Three Hills) located 8km apart. Open-pit, truck and loader mining methods will be used at both deposits. Mining will be carried out by contractors based on labour numbers of up to 80 people working two, 12 hour shifts per day every day of the week.
Initial production will commence from the Three Hills deposit (Phase 1), and is expected to continue for two years. Mining at the Hasbrouck deposit is expected to commence in year two (Phase 2), and is expected to continue for seven years.
Combined life of mine strip ratio (waste:ore) is estimated at 1.1:1 (0.9:1 at Three Hills and 1.1:1 at Hasbrouck) over a nine year mine life.
