Honghang EAF - Closed nickel operation

Located in Suishan town, Sichuan. Electric furnace treating laterite ore (via rotary kiln drying) to produce 8-13% Ni in nickel pig iron. Production ceased in June 2008 due to high costs of production and falling nickel prices, although it resumed in March 2009. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating a number of granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry standard cash operating costs.
