The Kapulo project covers three separate deposits – Shaba, Safari North and Safari South. The 2011 feasibility mine plan included only the Shaba deposit. Further definition drilling was on-going at Safari North and South which were interpreted as potentially being continuous. In early 2016 the company took the decision to place Kapulo on care and maintenance, as the operation had become uneconomic in the weakening copper price environment. Mining was suspended at the end of March, and milling continued until May.
