Report summary
La Coipa is owned and operated by Compañia Minera Mantos de Oro (MDO), a Chilean subsidiary of Kinross.The mine which operated as an open pit with agitation leach and Merril Crowe processing was placed on care and maintenance in October 2013. Kinross Gold completed a pre-feasibility study during Q3 2015. The study planned to restart operations by leveraging existing infrastructure at the asset and processing higher-grade material from Phase 7 within the existing Puren deposit. The operation restarted in March 2022.
