Report summary
The refinery and the associated secondary smelter are located at Luenen, 10km north of Dortmund, and have excellent road, rail and canal links. Kayser, Ahlemayer & Co. was formed in 1861 for the recovery of precious metals but soon diversified to operate two plants in Berlin for the recovery of copper from secondaries.
