Report summary
The deposit is exploited by conventional truck and shovel open pit mining methods Ore is processed via a conventional Carbon in Leach (CIL) circuit. Plant capacity was expanded in 2019 from 6.5-8Mt/a. No royalties are payable on Masbate gold production but the Philippine government receives a 4% excise on gross gold and silver sales (this was increased from 2% from January 2018). Gold production in 2020 was 205koz.
