Matilda (Wiluna Restart) gold mine
Report summary
The Wiluna mining operation is comprised of 20 open pits and three underground mines spanning four distinct mining centres being Wiluna, Matilda, Lake Way and Regent. In 2020, ore was sourced from three open pits and from the Golden Age underground deposit. All deposits are located within 20km of the mill, that is currently capable of processing up to 2.1Mt/a of non-refractory free milling ore in a carbon-in-leach circuit. Wiluna Mining have plans to expand gold production through a two-phased development, in order to unlock the sulphide potential. Stage 1 is expected to commence production in October 2021 and support annual gold production of between 100koz - 120koz.
