Report summary

Ojos Del Salado comprises two underground mines named Santos and Alcaparrosa and a 3.8kt/d concentrator. The operation was re-started in 2004 after originally operating between 1982 and 1998. The Santos and Acaparrosa mines together with the neighbouring Candelaria Norte underground mine and the Ojos del Salado plant are operated and managed by a Freeport subsidiary named Aurex. Ore from the Santos mine (~4.0kt/d) is processed at the Ojos Del Salado process plant.
