Ojos del Salado copper mine
Report summary
Ojos Del Salado comprises two underground mines named Santos and Alcaparrosa and a 3.8kt/d concentrator. The operation was re-started in 2004 after originally operating between 1982 and 1998. The Santos and Acaparrosa mines together with the neighbouring Candelaria operations, and the Ojos del Salado plant are operated and managed by Lundin Mining. Ore from Alcaparrosa is processed at Candelaria, and ore from the Santos mine is processed at the Ojos del Salado plant.
