Report summary
Amman Mineral Industri's integrated copper smelter project in West Sumbawa, Indonesia, includes the Amman Copper Refinery. The refinery processes copper anode from the adjacent smelter into high-purity copper cathode. Additionally, it recovers valuable by-products like gold and silver through its precious metals refinery unit. To align with the government's downstream processing policies, the company builds the refinery alongside the smelter, enabling Indonesia to capture more value from its mineral resources domestically. Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara is developing a facility at the Benete port area near the Batu Hijau mine. This location enables efficient transfer of blister copper from the smelter and facilitates export of refined products.
