Chifeng Yunnan copper refinery
Report summary
Chifeng Yunnan Copper refinery is a replacement for the old Chifeng Jinfeng copper refinery. The refinery was relocated to the Copper Industry Park in Chifeng Economic Development District. The new refinery has a capacity of 400 kt/a. It was commissioned in 2019. Unlike the old Chifeng Jinfeng copper refinery, which sent all its anode slimes to Yunnan for processing, Chifeng Yunnan Copper has its own precious metals plant. The precious metals plant was commissioned in 2020. The accompanying analysis includes only the production and cost of the relocated new refinery from 2019 onwards and the precious metals plant was not included.
