Report summary

Operated by PT Freeport Indonesia and located in Papua, Grasberg and is one of the world's largest copper-gold porphyry mining operations. The mine utilises both open pit and underground mining methods and has the capability to process up to 85 million tonnes of ore per annum. Grasberg is expected to transition into a solely underground operation in 2019. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating a number of granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry standard cash operating costs. This report contains a detailed asset note giving you a holistic view of the asset, including an operational overview through to a timeline of events from inception to now.
