Ronnskar copper refinery
Report summary
The refinery is located at Skelleftehamm, 15km south-east of Skelleftea, and has good road, rail and sea links. It refines anodes from the smelter on the same site. An expansion of the tankhouse by conversion to the Isa process was started in 1994. Capacity was increased to 140kt/a cathode at a cost of US$26M. The conversion was completed in October 1995.
