Report summary
The company was founded in 1972 by approximately 100 entrepreneurs, mainly gold dealers, jewellers and artists, the largest shareholding being less than 10%. In 1975 the company commissioned the Sarkuysan refinery at Osmangazi, Gebze, 40km east of Istanbul, which has good road, rail and sea links.
