Shanghai Xinye Copper Co,. Ltd (previously known as the Shanghai Smelter) was established in 1953 from previous Shanghai Electricity Wire Plant, and was renamed as Shanghai Nonferrous Metals Smelter. It is an integrated copper producer with scrap melting, anode casting, electrorefining, and precious and minor metals recycling system.
