Silangan gold mine project
Report summary
Philex refers Boyongan and Bayugo deposits as the Silangan project. These are copper-gold porphyry deposits. An In-Phase Mine Plan feasibility study was released in January 2022, which detailed plan for a sublevel cave mining operation at Boyongan deposit for a 28-years mine life. Silangan's ore is a mix of copper oxide and mixed-sulphide minerals. The complex mineralogy led to design of an intricate metallurgical flowsheet, which results in three saleable product - LME grade copper cathode, gold-silver doré and copper concentrate with gold and silver content.
