Report summary

Mining commenced in 1952. A precipitate plant was operated from 1984 until 1996 when it was replaced by an SxEw plant. Silver Bell's main production is from dump leaching of ROM ore. Additional lower grade material is drilled, blasted and then leached in situ, a process referred to as ‘rubblisation'. Production and cost estimates from 2005 - 2007 are order of magnitude only reflecting the absence of disclosure following ASARCO seeking Chapter 11 protection from creditors.
