Report summary
Sukari is currently the only large scale commercial gold mine in Egypt. Ore is sourced from a combination of open pit and underground sources. Ore is treated by a combination of conventional milling and dump leaching (for low-grade ore, typically less than 0.59g/t Au). Following completion of the Stage 4 mill expansion to 10Mt/a in 2014, mill throughput at the processing plant has consistently exceeded nameplate capacity. Current capacity of the mill is 12-12.5Mt/a. In 2024, the mine produced ~475koz of gold.
