Tanami (Closed) gold mine

Report summary

Zapopan closed the mine in 1994 on exhaustion of reserves. Otter Gold Mines acquired the mine in 1995 and reopened it in 1996, after delineating additional reserves. Acacia Resources was acquired by AngloGold Limited in late 1999. Mining operations closed in June 2001, with final production in October. The mill is currently leased to Normandy NFM.
