Report summary
Tasiast is a conventional open pit mining operation where lower grade ore is treated via dump leaching whilst higher grade ore is processed via three-stage crush, ball milling and agitated leaching followed by carbon-in-leach. The final product is gold doré produced on site. A phased approach to expansion is planned, expanding the mill capacity from 8 to 12kt/d (Phase 1) commissioned in Q3 2018. The Phase 2 plan was later replaced with the 24Kt/d expansion project which was completed in 2023. In 2024, the mine produced 622koz of gold.
