Tschudi SxEw copper mine
Report summary
The following notes consider the open pit mine and leaching operation producing copper cathode. Production from Tschudi underground mine, which opened in October 2007 and closed down in 2009, fed the Tsumeb concentrator. This production is included in a separate analysis of Tsumeb mine. The project is within a well-developed infrastructure and is linked to Tsumeb by a 14km-tarred road and a well maintained 12km gravel road. The open pit operation close in 2020, but has the potential to be restarted.
