The European Union’s (EU’s) and US’ road transport decarbonisation targets are at risk. Struggling electric vehicle (EV) markets, lacking domestic supply chains and pressure to reduce exposure to China’s industry are all hurdles to achieving high levels of EV sales, critical for low tailpipe emission goals. We hosted a webinar on 11 June to provide an overview of the current policy landscape, the requirement on automakers, highlighting pinch points in the supply chain and suggest possible solutions to achieving decarbonisation ambitions.
