Operated by New Nemaska Lithium Ltd, Whabouchi is a lithium mineral project located in Quebec, Canada. Whabouchi, meaning “White Mountain” in the local Cree language, is a combined open pit and underground spodumene mine which is currently under construction. Whabouchi is expected to produce a nominal 215ktpy of 6.25% Li2O spodumene concentrate over a 33-year mine life to supply an integrated refinery capable of producing up to 37ktpy of battery grade lithium hydroxide. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating several granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry-standard cash operating costs. This report contains a detailed asset note giving you a holistic view of the asset, including an operational overview through to a timeline of events from inception to now.
