Report summary
Shanxi Xiaoyi is Xinfa's fourth alumina refinery. In 2013, the company outlined a RMB80bn (US$13bn) bauxite-alumina-primary-fabricating project, with 3.2Mt/a alumina, 1Mt/a primary and 1Mt/a semis, in stages according to market conditions, with the whole project due on-stream in 2016. The project was included in Shanxi province's thirty key projects for 2013-2016. Final design capacity as high as 5Mt/a has been indicated.
