Zinkgruvan (Ammeberg) copper mine
Report summary
Zinkgruvan is a deep underground operation located approximately 200 km west of Stockholm in South Central Sweden and owned by Lundin Mining Corp. In 2016 lead and zinc metal production fell in comparison with 2015, predominantly due to the mining of lower grade areas. The expansion project to 1.35Mt/a was reportedly progressing on schedule and was expected to achieve commercial production around April 2017.
