Report summary
Sergipe-Alagoas Basin is a traditional onshore and shallow water oil producer. The onshore basin is mature, having experienced exploration activity for almost 100 years while the deepwater basin is relatively underexplored. To date, six light oil and gas discoveries have been made in the deepwater: Barra, Farfan, Muriú, Moita Bonita, Poço Verde and Cumbe. Reservoirs comprise Cretaceous turbidites and mass transport fans deposited in paleo lows.
