Exploration spend is compared with the value of new field discoveries made. Investment continues to be focused on key basins, predominantly in deepwater. The top 10 basins by E&A investment represent 30% of spend. The highest-value basins were found in deepwater Brazil, Guyana, Egypt, Israel plus onshore basins in Egypt, Algeria and China.
