Exploration spend is compared with the value of new field discoveries made. Investment continues to be focused on key basins, predominantly in deepwater. The top 10 basins by E&A investment represent 35% of spend. Guyana and Turkiye's Black Sea lead on value created over the decade with Egypt's Western Desert and Algeria's Illizi - Ghadames onshore basins generating the highest returns.
