ExxonMobil has crafted a strategy that is adaptable to a range of scenarios and that plays to its competitive strengths. Low-carbon themes have grown in importance although oil and gas remain at the core. Growth engines are primarily low-breakeven oil opportunities in Guyana, Permian tight oil and LNG. Exploration plays a more prominent role in the company’s growth and high-grading strategy relative to peers, focused on advantaged opportunities that are easy to get to market.
