Country Report
Argentina upstream summary
Report summary
Argentina claims one of the only successful shale plays outside of North America. With little conventional potential, the country is dependent on its Vaca Muerta shale for future growth. The country has a history of regulated hydrocarbon prices, financial controls, and expropriation. We detail the history of oil and gas production and policy and outline our expectations for the future of the industry in Argentina.
