Report summary
Guyana has delivered transformational success for Hess: giant volumes with excellent full-cycle returns. Two legacy offshore areas remain as cash generators: Malaysia (long-life gas) and deepwater US Gulf of Mexico (near-field and exploration opportunities). Hess' assets have revived Chevron's near-term project pipeline following its acquisition of the IOC, which was agreed in October 2023 and closed in July 2025.
