The asset report for the Libya Sirte exploration basin has been archived. The civil uprising of 2011 interrupted exploration activity in the basin. Foreign operators re-entered the basin over 2012-13 but security deteriorated in 2014 and we expect unrest to continue in the near to medium term. A comprehensive update will be carried out when activity resumes. However if the basin is of interest to you, please contact us using the analyst details linked to this report and we will share Wood Mackenzie’s latest views and information.
