Asset Report
New Zealand Great South exploration basin
Report summary
The asset report for the New Zealand Great South exploration basin has been archived. The Tawhaki-1 exploration well drilled in 2020 was dry. Only 8 wells have been drilled in the basin, to date. Future exploration is expected to be minimal due to the New Zealand government's 2018 ban of future exploration licensing. A comprehensive update of this basin report will be carried out if and when activity necessitates it.
