India’s two-wheeler market currently faces a challenge of slower growth prospect as household ownership is expected to reach maturity in two years. But guided by the goals to reduce emission and improve air quality, there is a strong growth prospect for the electric two-wheeler as the current fleet primarily consumes gasoline and government schemes are heavily subsidising electric two-wheeler over other vehicle categories. Despite slower growth in the overall two-wheeler market, we expect electric two-wheeler sales to increase out to 2050 and lead the race of vehicle electrification in India. - What does the current two-wheeler market in India look like? - How is the government supporting e-mobility in India? - How are automakers responding to the Indian market? - How will the future of two-wheelers play out?
