50x30 – The next chapter in California's renewable crusade
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
During his inaugural speech on Monday, California Governor Jerry Brown made clear his intention to implement a goal of 50 percent renewable generation by 2030. Such a law would be unprecedented, even eclipsing the state of Hawaii's 40 percent target. While the Governor still has some legwork to perform before the rhetorical proposal becomes actionable legislation (or an executive order), the move certainly signals renewed support around the cause.
