Insight
Coronavirus lowers 2020 APAC storage additions by 21%, down 1.9 GWh
Report summary
With an increasing number of confirmed new cases of COVID-19, central governments have implemented border controls, travel restrictions and social distancing, and have shut down manufacturing industries. These precautionary measures will raise challenges for battery supply, project construction, testing and commissioning, and business development. The effect of COVID-19 will lower the downstream market by 21% compared to our previous projections, a potential downside of 1.9 GWh of storage additions in 2020.
