Fuels at market prices in Argentina: how long will it last?
Report summary
Control over fuel prices were suspended on October 1st in Argentina, as the recovery in the Brent price placed domestic crude prices at a discount to the international benchmark. This condition was part of a transitional agreement to international prices signed between the government and oil companies in the country earlier this year. While this eliminates the legal obligation to set fuel prices based on controlled oil prices and exchange rates, retail companies will change their domestic fuel prices before November.
