Even though the number of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) involving at least 100 service stations decreased in 2025 compared to 2024, there were several large-scale transactions with thousands of retail sites changing ownership. These included Socar's acquisition of Italiana Petroli, Sunoco's takeover of Parkland, and the purchase of Primax by UNO Corp.
