Saudi Aramco's joint venture with PETRONAS in the RAPID project is a win-win for both partners. Saudi Aramco gets a secure outlet and a stake in a large integrated refining and petrochemical asset. PETRONAS benefits from the security of crude supply and an equity partner willing to share some of the financial burden in a low oil price environment.
