Commodity Market Report
Serbia downstream oil long-term outlook
Report summary
Although small, Serbia is one of a few European markets with a positive oil demand growth outlook. The liberalisation of the Serbian market in 2011 removed several restrictions which had historically prevented other companies from competing effectively with the market leader, national oil company NIS. As the country's sole refiner, NIS dominates the downstream value chain and controls around 75% of the domestic oil products market.
