Asset Report
Cotton Valley tight gas unconventional play
Report summary
The Cotton Valley has been one of the most productive tight gas plays in the US Lower 48. Development originally focused on conventional Cotton Valley Sands, but production is now dominated by the tight permeability sections of this vast reservoir. Abundant well data have made this low-risk play one of the most popular tight gas targets. Most fields have been heavily developed by majors and large independents, although a number of supermajors still hold legacy positions in the play.
