Report summary

The Gunnedah Basin is an emerging play in New South Wales with some resource potential but no commercial development to date.  The play remains stranded from the main domestic and industrial markets that are located 250 kilometres (155 miles) south of the basin.  In addition, technical challenges remain to be resolved with the optimum development solution yet to be identified. The Narrabri Gas Project is the leading development in the play, operated by Santos.
