Located in central Montana, the Heath shale has sourced 130 million barrels of oil for the conventional Tyler sandstone. The Heath lies at a relatively shallow depths of 1,433 to 1,677 metres (4,700 to 5,500 feet). Its thickness ranges from 61 to 91 metres (200 – 300 feet).
